Sticking the Landing

This image of a bald eagle landing on a perch with a freshly caught salmon in the Pacific Northwest is the result of patience, persistence, and a remarkably cooperative subject. After spending several days braving the elements and quietly observing my subject, I finally captured the perfect moment as this eagle returned to its favorite perch with its catch. Every second of the wait was worth it to capture this beautiful and dramatic image.
