Rumble in the Rockies

Over the years, I’ve been asked several times if there was a particular moment that inspired me to pursue wildlife photography as a career, and without hesitation, I always refer to this experience. I captured this shot on a cold, crisp, and icy September morning in the Rocky Mountains. The conditions were challenging, but everything fell into place in the most magical way. To witness this moment unfold before my eyes, with all the elements aligning so perfectly, was not just a rare opportunity—it was an unforgettable and truly incredible moment. After many years, it still remains one of the most profound and rewarding experiences I’ve had as a wildlife photographer.
