Patience in Practice

If there’s one photo that truly reflects my patience as a wildlife photographer, it’s this one. Near my home, there’s a small natural area where a pair of great horned owls live, along with a beautiful tree stump I always hoped to see one perched on. Over several years, I returned time and time again, never quite catching the moment I envisioned. A few years later while working on a video project with some friends at that same area, we spotted one of the owls—and to my surprise, it flew right to that very stump. After years of waiting, my patience finally paid off, and I was able to capture the image I’d been chasing for so long.
