Cool and the Gang

A few years back, while on a winter trip to Jackson, Wyoming, with a fellow photographer, we had the good fortune of coming across a small group of river otters early one cold morning. We followed them along the river as they made their way to a section where the ice had opened up to reveal flowing water. There, we spent the rest of the morning watching and photographing them as they hunted trout and played along the snowy shoreline. I captured this playful moment just as they wrapped up their fun on the riverbank and slid back into the frigid water—a perfect snapshot of their lively spirit and playful nature.
