A Force to be Reckoned With

Moose are among the largest—and most formidable—mammals in North America, and they’ve long been one of my favorite species to be in the presence of and photograph. I captured this image on a late November afternoon in Northwest Wyoming, while observing a group of bulls moving through the sage flats of Grand Teton National Park. Their sheer size and presence make every encounter unforgettable, and this moment was no exception.
